Using the executive dashboard
The executive dashboard is a comprehensive data visualization tool that is designed to provide executive management with a clear and concise snapshot of the organization's data security status.
12.2 and later This feature is available in 12.2 and later versions of Guardium®.
The executive dashboard is available on the Guardium central manager. To access the dashboard on a central manager, go to .
The dashboard addresses critical questions about compliance, asset protection, potential data loss, and the strategic value of IBM® Guardium. It consolidates key security metrics into an accessible format, enabling decision-makers to make informed decisions that safeguard the organization's data assets.
When a time range is selected, the dashboard displays data that corresponds to the chosen period. If no time range is selected, the dashboard displays the last 12 data points. Data points can vary by chart type. Failed vulnerability assessment tests, data export status, and data archive charts use the predefined schedule.
The dashboard provides the following information:
- System health
- The assets inventory tile displays the number of assets (discovered, protected, classified, unclassified, unprotected) over time. Assets that are not monitored by a security policy, often termed unprotected assets, can signal security gaps. Track trends over time to assess security improvements and emerging risks. For more information on populating the assets inventory tile, see Set up compliance monitoring or application data monitoring.
- Compliance readiness
- Monitor assets that are protected by policies customized for specific compliance standards. The metrics provide a quick overview of compliance status with specific standards such as GDPR, CPRA, SOX, and PCI-DSS compliance.
- Potential savings by using Guardium
- View the economic benefits of deploying Guardium per the Forrester Total Economic Impact of Guardium report.
- Data export status
- View the total scheduled exports and successful data exports. A robust export process signifies a strong infrastructure. Conversely, a decrease or failure in exports might signal potential risks, including data loss. For instance, if an export to the aggregator fails and the collector is subsequently purged, data might be irretrievably lost.
- Data archive status
- View the total archive exports and successful archive exports. A decrease or failure in archive creation can lead to noncompliance and potential regulatory penalties.
