Manage Custom Classes

Upload and maintain custom classes that are used in alerts or evaluations. To manage custom classes, click Setup > Custom Alerting Classes or Setup > Custom Evaluation Classes .

After you compile a class, it must be uploaded to the Guardium® system.

Uploading a Custom Class

You can upload a custom class for alerts or evaluations

  1. To upload a custom alerting class, go to Setup > Custom Alerting Classes.
  2. To upload a custom evaluation class, go to Setup > Custom Evaluation Classes.
  3. Click the add icon and enter a description.
  4. Click Browse to locate and select the class file and click Apply.

Updating a Custom Class

  1. To update a custom alerting class, go to Setup > Custom Alerting Classes.
  2. To update a custom evaluation class, go to Setup > Custom Evaluation Classes.
  3. Select the description of the class to be updated and click the modify icon.
  4. Click Browse to locate and select the class file that is to be used for the update.
  5. Click Apply.

Deleting a Custom Class

  1. To delete a custom alerting class, go to Setup > Custom Alerting Classes.
  2. To delete a custom evaluation class, go to Setup > Custom Evaluation Classes.
  3. Select the description of the class to be deleted and click the remove icon.
    Note: You cannot remove a class that is in use by some other component (the installed policy, for example).
