The alphanumeric-defaults module, ADMDATRN, is a set of 256-character translation tables used by GDDM to ensure that any of the character codes used by an application appears the same on any device, regardless of the national language being used. Pointers enable the characters in one translation table to be mapped to those in any other table. ADMDATRN also plays a part in enterprises that use APL, and in those that use Personal Services/CICS (PS/CICS). Subtopics:
