Specifying the plotting area

GDDM V3R2 Base Application Programming Guide
SC33-0867-01

By including processing option 14 (PLTAREA) on the DSOPEN for the plotter, you can specify on which part of the paper the picture is to be plotted. This is shown in Figure 114.

The plotting area is equivalent to the screen of a display device. The left- and right-hand edges are specified as percentages of the paper width, and the top and bottom edges as percentages of the paper depth. You can see an example of this in the procopt list of the DSOPEN call at topic 21.1.1.

The default values are 0, 100, 0, and 100, meaning the whole of the paper. If 0,0,0,0 is specified, the value set on the plotter by the operator is used.

If you want to reflect the picture through the x or y axis, you can specify one or both of the maximum x and y values to be less that their corresponding minima.
