Panel 2.5 has two main uses:
  1. "Indexing" to produce charts that take account of special factors such as inflation or fluctuations in market size
  2. Special effects for polar and tower charts which are described in the same place as the charts themselves
Try indexing now. Set Y values displayed to 2 and the indexing type 3 to get the result shown in the picture. If the chart showed the cost of living over several years, it would be useful to compare Miami and Hong Kong as if they had both started at the same point. More on indexing in Chapter 10, "Indexed charts" in topic 2.4.
Reset Y values displayed to 1.
