A cell array is an output primitive that can produce multicolored images.
   The image consists of a grid of rectangular cells, each cell having its
   own defined color.  The cells need not map one-for-one with pixels on the
   output device.  The output grid is defined by a set of indexes into a
   color table.  The Cell array (GCA) output function generates the output
   image.
