Creating a virtual machine by using Clone PVC

A clone is an exact duplicate of an existing storage volume that can be used like any standard volume. You create a clone to capture a point-in-time snapshot of the data.

Procedure

  1. Go to Virtualization > Virtual Machines.
  2. Click Create virtual machine and select the option from template.
  3. Select the virtual machine template used earlier to deploy on primary cluster and click disk source.
If the option does not exist, then click Customise virtual machine.
  4. Click Clone PVC and select the PVC project (virtual machine namespace).
  5. Select the PVC name.
  6. Click Create virtual machine.
