Force deletion of storage in provider clusters

Before you begin

  • Administrator access to the OpenShift Data Foundation storage cluster in provider mode.

About this task

When a client cluster is deleted without performing the off-boarding process to remove all the resources from the corresponding provider cluster, you need to perform force deletion of the corresponding storage consumer from the provider cluster. This helps to release the storage space that was claimed by the client.

Procedure

  1. Click Storage → Storage Clients from the OpenShift console.
  2. Click the delete icon at the far right of the listed storage client cluster.

    The delete icon is enabled only after 5 minutes of the last heartbeat of the cluster.

  3. Click Confirm.
