Deleting an IAM user

Delete an IAM user from the object browser.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to IBM Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.
  • All access keys and inline user policies associated with the user must be removed before deletion.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, navigate to Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW.
  3. Click the IAM tab.
  4. Select the IAM user you want to delete.
  5. Click the Actions menu and select Delete user.
  6. You must delete any existing access keys before deleting the user.
  7. Type delete to confirm the user deletion.
