Deleting access key for an IAM user

Delete an access key for an IAM user.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to IBM Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.
  • An existing IAM user with at least one access key.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, navigate to Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW.
  3. Click the IAM tab.
  4. Select the IAM user for whom you want to delete the access key.
  5. On the user details page, click the Access keys tab.
    The list of access key cards are displayed.
  6. Locate the access key you want to delete and open the Action menu on its card.
  7. Select Delete access key.
  8. You must deactivate the access key before deleting it. Click Deactivate.
  9. To confirm deletion, type delete in the confirmation field.
  10. Click Delete to permanently remove the access key.
