Service protection

The IBM Fusion Backup & Restore service protection involves the backup of the Backup & Restore data management service to a S3 bucket.

If the cluster or the storage containing metadata becomes unavailable, you can recover the Backup & Restore metadata required to restore application backups.

You can configure service backups by specifying locations, setting schedules, and managing credentials. Additionally, you can restore a service configuration from a backup, connect to various backup locations (such as Azure, IBM Cloud, and Amazon Web Services), enter credentials, and initiate the restore process.
