Upgrading Backup & Restore service
After a IBM Fusion operator upgrade, if a Backup & Restore upgrade is available, IBM Fusion automatically initiates prechecks and then proceeds with the upgrade.
Important: When you upgrade to version 2.13.0, the Backup & Restore database is upgraded and the data is
migrated to the new version of MongoDB. Ensure that the Backup & Restore storage class contains
sufficient available capacity. The upgrade process requires an extra 60 GiB of storage temporarily
to migrate the Backup & Restore database to the new version. After the migration is complete,
the old Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs) are deleted, releasing the extra storage.
If you plan to do an offline installation in IBM Fusion 2.13.0, mirror the Backup & Restore 2.13.0 images to your enterprise registry for the automatic upgrade to initiate. For the procedure and images to download, see Mirroring Backup & Restore images.
To view the status of the upgrade, go to or the Services page.
