Create sample application for testing disaster recovery solution
IBM Fusion Data Foundation disaster recovery (DR) solution supports disaster recovery for applications that are managed by Red Hat® Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes (RHACM).
The following section detail how to create an application and apply a DRPolicy to an application:
- ApplicationSet-based
applications
OpenShift users that do not have cluster-admin permissions cannot create ApplicationSet-based applications. For more information on ApplicationSet-based application, see ApplicationSet in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes product documentation.
Note: Regional-DR now supports leveraging RBD and CephFS volumes using non-default replica-2
storage classes that are managed by Fusion Data Foundation.
Support has also been extended to compression-enabled storage classes.
Multi-volume consistency for disaster recovery
By default, Fusion Data Foundation Disaster Recovery (DR) provides crash-consistent multi-volume consistency groups for Regional-DR to be used by applications that are deployed across multiple volumes.
Note: If you have upgraded from a previous Fusion Data Foundation version to 4.21, to enable consistency
groups you must disable Regional-DR after the upgrade, and then re-enable Regional-DR.
