Installing the IBM Fusion base

Procedure to install the IBM Fusion base on a Hosted Control Plane cluster.

About this task

Note: If you plan to use IBM Maximo® in Hosted Control Plane with IBM Fusion, log in to the Hosted Control Plane cluster and deploy Fusion operator.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the OpenShift® Container Platform web console of the IBM Fusion HCI hub, and select All clusters.
  2. Go to Infrastructure > Clusters.
    The Clusters page is displayed, and the Cluster list tab is open by default.
  3. Go through the list of the associated clusters and their details.
  4. You can click the name value link of the cluster to view more information.
    In the cluster details page, the Overview tab is open by default.
  5. In the Overview tab page, edit the Labels to include isf.ibm.com/fusion-base, and click Save.
    Alternatively, you can edit the label by using the oc commands:
    1. Log in to the hub cluster.
      oc login to the hub cluster
    2. Add label isf.ibm.com/fusion-base to the hosted control plan clusters on hub to auto install IBM Fusion consumer cluster:
      oc label managedcluster <consumer_cluster_name> isf.ibm.com/fusion-base=''
