Uploading objects using the object browser

Upload objects using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, navigate to Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW, then open the bucket.
  3. Click the Objects tab.
  4. In the Add objects section, do one of the following:
    • Click Upload to add a folder.
    • Drag and drop individual files to upload specific files.
  5. Click the uploaded object to view its Overview and Versions tab.
