Generating the presigned URL to share the object

Generate the presigned URL to share an object using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, click Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW, then open the bucket.
  3. Click the Objects tab.
  4. From the object's options menu, select Share with presigned URL.
  5. Select the expiration time to set the validity period of the presigned URL.
  6. Click Create.
  7. Copy the generated URL.
