Deleting a pool

Use this procedure to delete a pool in Fusion Data Foundation.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have logged into the OpenShift Container Platform web console as an administrator.
Important: A pool cannot be deleted when it is bound to a PersistentVolumeClaim (PVC). You must detach all the resources before performing the deletion activity.

Procedure

  1. Go to Storage > Data Foundation.
  2. In the Data Foundation window, click Storage Systems.
  3. On the Storage systems tab, select the required storage system.
  4. Go to the Storage pools tab.
  5. On the Storage pools tab, click the three-dot icon next to the pool you want to delete and click Delete Pool.
  6. Click Delete to confirm the removal of the Pool.
    Remember: When a pool is deleted, the underlying Ceph pool is not deleted.
