Deleting or emptying bucket using object browser

Delete or empty buckets by using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, navigate to Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW and click the Buckets tab.
  3. From the bucket's options menu, select Empty bucket.
  4. Enter the bucket name to confirm.
  5. Click Empty bucket.
  6. After the bucket is empty, open the options menu again.
  7. Select Delete bucket.
  8. Enter the bucket name to confirm and click Delete bucket.
