Signing in to the object browser as a developer user

Sign in to the object browser with Kubernetes Secret credentials.

Before you begin

  • Kubernetes Secret containing S3 credentials
  • Namespace and Secret name details

Procedure

  1. Open the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.
  2. Select the storage endpoint:
    • MCG
    • RGW
    Developers must log in separately for each endpoint.
  3. Select the Secret namespace and name where the S3 credentials are stored.
  4. Optional: Select Stay signed in to remain logged in across browser tabs or sessions. Click Sign in.
    Note:
    • The UI does not store credentials in local or session storage but only a reference to the Kubernetes Secret is stored.
    • Access level depends on the credentials provided.
