Installing IBM Fusion Access for SAN operator

Use this procedure to install IBM Fusion Access for Storage Area Network (SAN) operator.

Before you begin

Make sure that you have the following prerequisites:

  1. Access to the cluster as a user with the cluster-admin role.
  2. A working container registry that is enabled.

About this task

Install the IBM Fusion Access for SAN operator from the OperatorHub in the OpenShift® Container Platform web console.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the OpenShift Container Platform web console.
  2. Go to Operators > OperatorsHub.
  3. In the Filter by keyword field, type Fusion Access for SAN.
  4. Select the Fusion Access for SAN tile and click Install.
  5. On the Install Operator page, keep the default selections for Update Channel, Version, and Installation mode.
  6. Verify that Operator recommended Namespace is selected for the Installed Namespace.
    This installs the operator in the ibm-fusion-access namespace. If this namespace does not exist, it is automatically created.
    Warning: If you install the IBM Fusion Access for SAN operator in a namespace other than ibm-fusion-access, then IBM Fusion Access for SAN does not work.
  7. Verify that the Automatic default is selected for Update Approval.
    This enables automatic updates when a new release is available.
  8. Click Install to install the operator.
  9. Go to Operators > OperatorsHub, and verify that the IBM Fusion Access for SAN operator is displayed.
