Prerequisites

Ensure that you meet the prerequisites before you work with Backup & Restore service.

Install either the Backup & Restore or Backup & Restore Agent service. For the procedure to install, see Install Backup & Restore.
Ensure that you define a StorageClass that is provisioned by a supported CSI driver. Check the provisioner: in the Spec to make sure that it is backed by CSI.
Sample Storage Class for Fusion Data Foundation:

Note: The Storage Class must have the CSI Snapshot capability (VolumeSnapshotClass).
For backups and restores to run successfully, ensure that CSI compliant storage classes have volumeBindingMode set to Immediate.

Ensure that the VolumeSnapshotClass has a driver: that matches the provisioner: in the StorageClass.
