Deploy Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Operator

Procedure to deploy the Red Hat® OpenShift® Virtualization Operator.

About this task

OpenShift Virtualization provides a platform to bring virtual machines (VMs) into containerized workflows by running a virtual machine within a container where you develop, manage, and deploy virtual machines side-by-side with containers in one platform. For more information about how to create and manage VMs, see Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization and What you can do with OpenShift Virtualization.

A list of example VM features that the Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization supports:
  • Create and manage Linux and Windows virtual machines
  • Connect to virtual machines through a variety of consoles and CLI tools
  • Import and clone existing virtual machines
  • Manage network interface controllers and storage disks attached to virtual machines
