Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM)
This section answers questions related to RHACM in IBM Fusion HCI System.
-
- Is RHACM license available with IBM Fusion HCI System?
- No, RHACM license is not included in IBM Fusion HCI System. Contact Red Hat for RHACM license queries.
-
- What is the deployment model for application onboarding load balancing etc? How to ensure that an application is HA across at least 2 “sites” and not all installing on a single rack within a site.
-
Each IBM Fusion HCI System today is in its own cluster. You can use Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM) to manage multiple clusters and deploy applications to and across clusters. RHACM also has a policy engine that can lay down policies on OpenShift® and enforce how users configure the cluster and deploy applications. For more information on RHACM, see https://www.redhat.com/en/technologies/management/advanced-cluster-management.
-
- Are there any major limitations for customization after this stack is deployed?
- For disk drives, all nodes that are a part of the storage cluster must have the same number of drives (this is just the way 4+2p ECE works). Otherwise, this is a fully functional OpenShift on bare metal cluster, and its yours to customize and install apps.
