If you encounter a Failed transferring data error, check whether you selected the Disk source: Template default option while creating the VM from a template. If so, switch to Disk source: Blank or another available Disk source option, as all choices except Template default automatically add the storage-provisioner. Alternatively, you can manually add a storage-provisioner annotation to the PVC to resolve the issue.

For all other kinds of errors, collect Backup and Restore logs logs and contact IBM support .
