Viewing network details
The Network page in the IBM Storage Fusion user interface provides information about switches, VLANs, and links in the system.
From the IBM Storage Fusion HCI System menu, click . The Network page displays Switches, Links, and VLAN in three tab pages. Click each tab to view the respective details in a table format. Use the Search field to filter and find records. The settings icon helps you to customize the column headings of these tables. Decide the number of records per page by using the Items per page drop-down list of the table. You can traverse to the previous or next page views. Select a number from the drop-down list of the page numbers to jump to a specific page view.
- Switches tab page

The Switches is the default tab page that gets displayed when you click . It displays a list of high speed, internal management, and spine switches (for high-availability cluster and expansion cluster) in a table format. The column headers that are displayed by default in the table are Name, Hardware status, Type, Model, Firmware, IBM S/N, Rack, and Rack unit. Click
(Run command icon) to run a command to work with the switch. For more information about run command, see Running commands for switches. You cannot delete a switch from this tab page.
- Switch details

Click a switch name to view its Status overview and Ports details, along with any recent events generated by the switch.
Note: The recent events panel includes details of the switch from the last 24 hours only.Click View all in the Recent events panel to go to the events page and view all recent events on the hardware component.
If you want more information about the switch, click Details to open a slide out pane with the switch details. The slide out pane includes the following details:Description Type The type of the switch (the options are Spine, Management, and High-speed). Model The model number of the switch. Firmware The firmware version of the switch. IBM S/N The hardware serial number. Manufacture S/N The IPv6 address of the switch. Rack The name of the rack. Rack unit The rack unit position of the switch in the rack. Click Run command to run a command to work with the switch. For more information about run command, see Running commands for switches.
- Links tab page
- Click Links tab to view a list of all available links in a table format. The column headers that are displayed by default are Name, Type, Port number, Transceiver, Aggregation, VLANs, and Native VLAN. To add new link, click Create link. For the actual add procedure, see Adding links. Click edit icon to edit the link or delete icon to delete it.
- VLANs tab page
- Click VLAN tab to view a list of all available VLANs in a table format. The column headers that are displayed by default in the table are Name, Type, Status, ID, and Multiple links. To add new VLAN, click Create VLAN. For the actual add procedure, see Adding VLANs. Click edit icon to edit the VLAN or delete icon to delete it. If a VLAN is associated to a link, then you cannot delete it.
