Error conditions

The error message can be for the following conditions:
  • Unable to retrieve system information from the node
  • Unable to get NVMe Drives information from the IMM - Failed to configure the node, unable to power on the node.
  • Unable to retrieve processor information from the node - Unable to retrieve memory information from the node.
  • Unable to get pci drives
  • Unable to get adapter %s port information
  • Unable to retrieve system information from the node (System Serial Number and model number)
  • Failed to get power state of the node while configuring raid
  • Unable retrieve storage controller info
  • Unable retrieve drives info for node (while configuring drives in JBOD mode)
  • Unable retrieve drives info for node (While getting M2 Drives)
  • Not enough OS drives %d, expected at least 2 for node - Disks not of enough size on node
  • Disks not in correct Bay
  • Unable to get SSD drives info
  • Failed to power on the node
  • Failed to power cycle the node after Mellanox Network Adapter setting
Note: All of the error conditions have built-in retries. Whenever the event persists for a longer duration, support tickets get raised to check the appliance. If the condition is transient, it recovers automatically. Otherwise, IBM Support checks the appliance.

Do the following steps to diagnose the error:
  1. If you have enabled Call Home feature, then the system automatically collects compute collection set logs and raises a Call Home ticket.
  2. If you have not enabled Call Home feature, collect the Nodes logs and contact IBM support .
