Downloading or previewing objects using the object browser

Download or preview objects using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, click Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW, then open the required bucket.
  3. Click the Objects tab.
  4. From the object's options menu, select Download or Preview.
    Note: Preview behavior depends on browser support. Unsupported file types that cannot be displayed in a separate tab are downloaded automatically.
