Deleting objects using the object browser

Delete objects using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, click Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW, then open the bucket.
  3. Click the Objects tab.
  4. To delete objects, do one of the following:
    • Multiple objects: Select multiple objects using the checkbox and then from the Actions menu, select Delete.
    • Single object: Use the object’s Action menu and select Delete.
    Note: Folders cannot be deleted directly. Empty folders disappear automatically.
