Creating folder using the object browser

Create a folder using the object browser in the OpenShift Web Console.

Before you begin

  • Administrators: Administrator access to Fusion Data Foundation.
  • Developers: Logged in to the object browser using secret namespace and secret name. For more information see Accessing the object browser.
  • Ensure that the selected storage endpoint (MCG or RGW) is deployed and its pods are healthy.

Procedure

  1. In the OpenShift Web Console, click Storage > Object Storage.
  2. From the Storage endpoint selector, choose MCG or RGW, then open the bucket.
  3. Click the Objects tab.
  4. Click Create folder.
  5. Enter a folder name.
  6. Click Create.
    Note: The folder persists only after at least one object is uploaded inside it.
