Install

The IBM Maximo® CLI is the preferred way to install IBM Maximo® as it provides an automated deployment for this type of workload. For more information, see IBM Maximo® KC and IBM Maximo® Application Suite CLI.

Tip: To customize IBM Maximo® Application Suite instances with extra features that might be unavailable in IBM Maximo® Application Suite CLI, you can use ansible-devops for advanced configuration. For more information, seeMAS Devops Ansible Collection.

Limitations

If you plan to use any IBM Maximo® application dependent on Kafka such as IOT and Monitor, do not use the Strimzi open source operator in conjunction with IBM Fusion Backup & Restore. Instead, use the Streams for Apache Kafka by Red Hat® (formerly AMQ-Streams). Ensure that you match the version available in the IBM Fusion Backup & Restore namespace with the Streams operator that you are planning to use for IBM Maximo® Application Suite. Backup & Restore is not supported for IBM Maximo® IoT, IBM Maximo® Monitor, and IBM Maximo® Predict, but they can be installed on any cluster that has OpenShift® Virtualization installed.
