High-availability of virtual machines

High availability of virtual machines (VMs) ensure critical applications and services are available even in the event of unplanned scenarios.

IBM Fusion supports the following features for the high availability of VMs.
Live Migration
Use live migration to move VMs from one host to another without downtime. This is useful for load balancing and maintenance. See Live migration for virtual machines.
Failover Clustering
Configure VMs in a failover cluster, which allows VMs to automatically restart on a different host if the original host fails. It is very useful in the event of any unexpected hardware failures or other unplanned incidents. See Virtual machine failover.
