Working with the Dashboard

Dashboard provides an overview of the infrastructure, managed clusters, hardware status, services health, storage, backup jobs, and environmental risks of the IBM Fusion HCI.

Details
The Details section includes the following hardware information:
  • Cluster ID details.
  • Infrastructure details.
  • OpenShift® version details. Click Upgrade pre-check next to OpenShift version to open a slide out pane Upgrade pre-check to find the details of issues during the OpenShift upgrade. To debug further, click the outbound arrows to find exact problem details and possible prevention steps.
Remember: The upgrade pre-check identifies issues to be resolved before an upgrade is attempted, not the results of an upgrade operation.
  • Total number of nodes added to the cluster.
Services
The Services section includes the following information:
  • It provides a detailed list of services that are installed on the IBM Fusion HCI and their health status.
  • Click View services to go to Services page to view the list of available and installed services on the IBM Fusion HCI along with their health status.
Hardware status
The Hardware status section includes the following information:
  • It provides the number of hardware components in the IBM Fusion HCI that needs your attention.
  • Click View hardware to go to Overview page to view the graphical view of the hardware appliance where you can find the total number of nodes, switches, and service node along with their health statuses.
Environmental risks
The Environmental risks section includes the following information:
  • It provides the number of environmental risks present in the IBM Fusion HCI that needs your attention.
  • Click View risks to open a slide out pane Environmental risks to check a detailed list of risks that might impact your workloads and upgrades. To debug further, click the outbound arrows to find exact problem details and possible prevention steps.
Managed clusters
The Managed clusters section provides the number of hosted cluster created. Click Learn how to create a hosted cluster to view the steps to create a hosted cluster.
Important:
  • Ensure that a local storage service (either Data Foundation or Global Data Platform) is installed.
  • The local storage must be configured.
Backup jobs over time
The Backup jobs over time section includes the total number of backups available.
Important:
  • Ensure that the Backup & Restore service is installed to view backup jobs details. To get steps to install Backup & Restore service, click View Backup & Restore.
  • Ensure that a local storage service (either Data Foundation or Global Data Platform) is installed.
  • The local storage must be configured.
Local storage
The Local storage section provides a circular pie chart that is used versus the available capacity of the storage. The storage capacity is represented in GiB and the Used capacity is represented graphically and in percentage. Click View storage to go to Local storage page to view the usable capacity, services health, and storage nodes details.
Important:
  • Ensure that a local storage service (either Data Foundation or Global Data Platform) is installed.
  • The local storage must be configured.
Replication
The Replication section includes the following information.
  • Status of the both site 1 and site 2, such as connected or not.
  • Type of the disaster recovery.
  • Total numbers of applications added to the backup information.

Click View topology to find the tiebreaker details whether the tiebreaker is connected between the site 1 and site 2.

    Important:
    • A replication card is displayed unless the Data Foundation local storage service is installed (replication is only supported for Global Data Platform storage).
    • Also the content of the card available only after Global Data Platform local storage is configured.
