Implementing a comprehensive upgrade procedure

As an administrator user, upgrade components of IBM Fusion HCI from 2.9.0 to 2.10.0. The IBM Fusion HCI upgrade involves both software and firmware as applicable.

Before you begin

  • Go through the prerequisites before you upgrade. For more information about the prerequisites, see Prerequisites.
  • Go through the following considerations that impact the IBM Fusion HCI upgrade procedure:
    • Follow the sequence mentioned in the procedure of this topic. Wait for each step to complete before you begin the next step in sequence.
    • Service upgrades are mandatory after the IBM Fusion HCI software upgrades.

The procedure ensures that IBM Fusion software, data services, and OpenShift® Container Platformare brought up to their most recent version.

Procedure

  1. Upgrade IBM Fusion HCI management software.
