Creating a domain and connecting with data source

When you configure a domain, you automatically configure the DocumentProcessorCR. The processor streamlines data flow for analysis, reporting, and powering AI models effectively.

Procedure

  1. Go to Content-aware Storage > Domains.
  2. Click Create domain.
  3. In the Create domain page, enter the name of the domain.
  4. You can set the Add data source now toggle button or return later to set it.

If you prefer to set up the data source later, leave the Add data source now toggle disabled, then click Create. In the Domains page, you can see the newly added domain. You can return later to update the data source as needed. When you return later, open the overflow ellipses menu of the domain record and select Add data source now to enter the details.

If you enable Add data source now, proceed with the next steps to enter the required data source details.

  5. In the Add data source now section, select whether you want to create a new data source or use an existing data source.
  6. For the new data source fields, enter the data source name and click Next. For more information about the data source fields, see Creating a data source. For connecting to an existing data source, select a data sources and click Connect.

If the status of the datasource gets stuck in connecting state, ensure that you enable watch creation. For more information about the configuration, see Configuring Scale user to enable watch creation.

You can delete a domain from the Domain details page only if no data source exists for it.
