User action

Some IBM Storage Scale daemon process nodes are down in the site. For example, from site 1, you notice that some nodes in site 2 are down. The node may be up and OS running but IBM Storage Scale is not working.

  1. Log in to the IBM Storage Scale pods that have a problem and run the following command to check the health of GPFS services at the site:
    mmhealth node show

The output gives the status of the node. Either the IBM Storage Scale daemon process is down or is in a failed state.

  2. If it is a IBM Storage Scale daemon process down event, then run mmstartup.
  3. If this does not fix the problem, collect Global Data Platform logs and contact IBM Support.

For reference, the equivalent IBM Storage Scale error code is site_gpfs_warn.
