Creating a SWIFTNet FINPLUS message

This section illustrates how to create a SWIFTNet message in the message domain DNIFINPLUS.

  1. On the MER page, select an OU and the Create queue in which to create the message.
The Create Message page is displayed. It shows the message domains for which you are authorized on the selected queue.
  2. Choose the domain DNIFINPLUS.
The page updates to display the sender selection.
  3. Choose one of the senders.
The page updates to display the message definition set selection.
  4. Select the message definition set.
The page updates to display the message types of the selected definition set, as shown in Figure 1. The list includes only the messages types that you can access for the selected sender.

Tip: Create a bookmark in your browser for the message types that you often use. For example, in the Firefox browser, right-click the message type for which the bookmark is to be created and select the "Bookmark this link" action from the menu.
  5. Click the collapsed and expanded symbols to expand and collapse the message type sections as needed.
  6. Click the type of message to be created.
    For example, click camt.052.001.08.
The input panel for that message type is shown in Figure 2.
Note: The message domain, sender, and message type cannot be changed during the further message entry steps.

  7. Enter the necessary data.
Which fields are required and the values they can have is governed by SWIFT specifications.
  8. You can enter a transfer option set in the field Transfer option set. If MER is configured to show the available transfer option sets, you can choose an option from the field Transfer option set. If this field contains a gray placeholder with value <default> this indicates that a transfer option set can be selected or entered. The transfer option set with the name “default” is used if it has been configured and no value is provided for the field Transfer option set.
The field Swift service is read-only and shows the used SWIFTNet service.
  9. Enter the receiver of the message in the field Remote address. If MER is configured to show the available transfer option sets and if your reference data administrator has imported the SWIFTRef ReachPlus for FINplus data or entered remote addresses in the SWIFT reference data manually, you can do a remote address lookup using a BIC that matches the service name of the selected transfer option set (see Remote address lookup).
  10. When you are finished, click Submit.
The message is validated. If no errors are detected, the message is submitted for further processing according to the implemented business workflow.
Note: If the template administrator prepared suitable templates, you can use them to create new messages (see Creating a message by using a template).
