Specifying the maximum size of the application event log

On Windows, you can specify the maximum size of the application event log. If the application event log becomes full, the SAG Add-On is no longer able to log new events. To check the current size and modify the maximum allowed size of the application event log:

  1. Open the Event Viewer: Right-click on the Start button and select Event Viewer.
  2. Expand the entry Windows Logs, right-click Application and select Properties. A notebook similar to the one shown in Figure 1 is displayed. In the example shown here, application log has a size of 1070 KB and a maximum log size of 20480 KB.
  3. Check the current size, and modify the maximum size as needed.
