fmtdisable

Purpose

Use this command to prevent an LT from sending FIN messages via FMT FIN even if the sending and receiving of FIN messages via FMT FIN was started for that LT. After you enter the fmtdisable command for an LT:
  • Each message for that LT that is passed to the FMT FIN service (DNF_PF_IS) is stored in the OAMS until both the fmtenable and fmtstart commands were issued for the LT, at which time the message is sent via FMT FIN to the receiving LT.
  • Each message for that LT that is passed to the SIPN FIN service (DNF_ILC_FIN) is sent via the SIPN regardless of the routing criteria specified by COs of the type DnfFmtfDestination, with the following exception: if the Dnf.FIN.FMT.Mode element in the ComIbmDni folder of the message is set to the value forced, the message is not sent via SIPN, but instead is stored in the OAMS until both the fmtenable and fmtstart commands are issued for the LT, at which time the message is sent via FMT FIN to the receiving LT. For more information about the Dnf.FIN.FMT.Mode element, see Outbound (to the SIPN) FIN message structure.
Messages that are already in the OAMS when the fmtdisable command is issued are not affected.
