Database migration

The FTM data model can change from version to version. If you want to preserve your existing production databases and applications when you upgrade FTM to a newer version, you need to plan to migrate your database.

Note: FTM version 3.2 supports newer versions of Db2® and Oracle. For more information about how to plan a migration to a newer version of the database platform, see the documentation for the specific database.

The following sections contain the information that you need to migrate your database. Start with the section where the from version is the version of FTM that your database and applications are at. Do each subsequent database migration until you reach the new version of FTM that you want.
