Operators

The operators to use for filtering are broken down into the following categories:

String

A predefined set of string operators is shown when the filter value chosen is represented as a string within the database.

Numeric

A predefined set of numeric operators is shown when the filter value chosen is represented as a number within the database.

Static Search Term

A predefined set of string operators are shown when the filter value chosen works with a static set of search term values displayed within a dropdown list box. For example, 'Accounting Entry' 'equal to' 'Debit' returns all debit adjustment records.

Boolean

The ‘is’ operator is shown when the filter value chosen is either no value (indicating the related event has not occurred) or the value is a time (indicating when the related event occurred).
