Installation and setup

The FTM sample application is implemented to run on IBM® App Connect. The topics and subtopics that are in this installation and setup section describe the files and procedures that you need to install and deploy this sample application.

Package structure

The FTM sample application is provided as compressed files that are also project interchange files. These files can be imported into Rational® Software Architect (RSA) and IBM App Connect Toolkit. The installation files and scripts that you need to use for this sample application must also be extracted from these compressed files.

This sample application is provided in the following files.
  • FXH_Sample.zip
  • FXH_GenericModel.zip

The files that you need are provided in the FTM artifacts pod and must be downloaded from the pod. For more information about getting files from the artifacts container for your offering, see Getting the files from the artifacts container for your FTM offering.

The compressed (project interchange) files for this sample application contain the projects that are shown in the following table. IBM App Connect projects can be imported directly into the IBM App Connect Toolkit. RSA projects can be imported directly into the Rational Software Architect toolkit.

Note: Because the FSM and configuration database scripts are already provided, the FTM Sample App Model and FTM Generic Model projects are not needed to set up, configure, and run this sample application. The FTM Sample App Model project contains the FSM model and can be used with the FTM Model Tooling component in Rational Software Architect to reextract the FSM and configuration database scripts.
