Validation Rule Sets

The types of ingestion options used by the Gateway are:
  1. Transmission rule sets (how to validate the transmissions)
  2. Batch (ICL) rule sets (how to validate the batches (ICLs))
  3. Processing rules (what to do with the transmission)

A rule set consists of a number of configured attributes. The set of attributes is assigned an identification name, which is used to associate the rule set with different processing levels.

Transmission rule sets and batch (ICL) rule sets are associated with different processing levels. For more information about the processing levels, see Rule Set Processing Levels.
