Unit of work size
Unit of work size is a database term that defines the time from the start of a number of statements until either a commit or a rollback of the transaction happens. Databases prefer short unit of work sizes. If the unit of work size gets too large, the performance of the application may degrade. The database locking manager gets very busy and starts consuming large amounts of CPU trying to maintain the locks for all the different statements.
By default, the IBM® App Connect Enterprise sends a commit at the end of each flow.
