IBM MQ connectivity timeout problems

Problem:

Some cloud environments experience IBM® MQ connection issues that can be fixed by decreasing the heartbeat interval. When these connection issues occur, the logs have the following type of errors.

com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: Completion Code '2', Reason '2009'

Solution:

Decrease the heartbeat interval for the IBM MQ channel by changing the heartbeat interval channel attribute. For more information about the attribute, see Heartbeat interval channel attribute in the IBM MQ documentation.

Use the IBM MQ Console on route <ftm-instance>-mq-web to go to your queue manager and change the heartbeat interval attribute for your channel. For example, change the heartbeat interval for the QMLDAP.SVRCONN channel in the FTMQMGR queue manager.
