Custom Attributes page
The custom attributes page displays any attributes that are defined at the participant level.
If the attribute is also defined with a value at the global level, then the participant attribute inherits the global value. The value that is provided for the participant overrides the value from the global level.
Custom attribute fields
The page has the fields that are shown in the following list. Required fields are indicated with an asterisk.
- Attribute
- The name of the custom attribute. Only attributes that are defined at the participant level are displayed.
- Value
- The value of the attribute. When the custom attributes page is in edit mode, this column contains a field for editing the value. If the attribute has a description, it is shown here as help text.
- Inherited value
- If this attribute is defined at the global or participant level, then the attribute inherits a value from one of those levels. The value is displayed along with the level that the inherited value came from. Participant values override global values, so if an attribute has both values, then the participant value is inherited.
Actions
The actions that are available on the page are shown in the following list.
- Save saves the changes for the custom attributes.
- Activate activates the changes for the custom attributes.
- Discard discards the changes for the custom attributes.
