Output Control

The user can control what occurs when tests fail by using the suspect keyword in the rules file. A failure is generated for a test when TIFF Validation is told to suspect if the test does not pass. Otherwise, a warning is generated when a test does not pass.

TIFF Validation can be set so data does not have to start with a TIFF header. The data without a TIFF header is not TIFF and TIFF Validation reports the missing header with no failures or other test results.
