Email Notification Task
When the email notification task runs, it checks for log message alerts that meet the notification criteria defined by the user and sends notification emails for those alerts. Once an alert is processed by the task, it is not processed again. This includes the alerts that did not meet the criteria for having an email sent.
The notification criteria for the log message alerts is defined using the email notifications page. The criteria consists of the log severity level, the log message ID, or both, and the age of the alert. The task uses the email alert definition to determine which log message alerts require notification and to whom the email notices are sent.
- Alert creation time, which is displayed in the system timezone defined in the system properties
- Component that caused the alert
- Component type of the component that caused the alert
- Log message ID
- Alert level
- Alert status
