Restarting Transmission Acknowledgment

To restart a transmission acknowledgment task, open the task activity detail panel and click Restart. The task begins executing and the user is returned to the task activity list. The list shows the task in queued status, indicating the activity list displayed before the task was dispatched. Click Go to refresh the activity list.

Any task can be restarted, including ones that ended in error or ran successfully. Restarting a transmission acknowledgment task reissues the transmission acknowledgment XML, routing file, and end of file record. The files are put on the Gateway outgoing directory again and are reprocessed by the Gateway Server.

For transmission acknowledgment tasks in error status, the files were never delivered to the Gateway outgoing directory. Restarting them may correct the error and deliver the files.

Restarting transmission acknowledgment recreates all the file artifacts, which can cause a set of files to be delivered with the exact names as the previous run. Using a date and time substitution value in the file naming pattern prevents this from occurring.
