Configure the inactive users task

To configure this task, go to the task configuration page in the Services Framework user interface and select the New task configuration link. The following table shows the information that is needed to configure the task.

Task This field displays a list of all of the registered tasks. Select the name of the inactive users task that was entered during registration. Inactive Users Task
Configuration Descriptive name for the configuration. This field is required and can contain up to 60 characters. Inactive Users Task
Description A detailed description that explains what the configuration does. This field is optional. If entered, it must be 512 characters or less. Locks all user IDs that were not active for 14 days.
Activate task Indicates whether the configuration is active. When it is active, the task is available to lock or delete user IDs. Yes, No
Process end of day Set this value to no because it doesn't apply to the inactive users task. No
Process cleanup Set this value to no because it doesn't apply to the inactive users task. No
Delete on complete Indicates whether the activity for this task is deleted when it is complete. If set to yes, the activity for this task is deleted when it successfully completes and is not deleted when it has errors or warnings. If set to no, the activity for this task is not deleted when it completes.
Note: Deleted task activities do not appear on the task activity page.

Max Days Inactive Until Locked The maximum number of days a user ID can be inactive before it is locked. An ID that was not active for longer than the specified number of days is locked when this task runs.

Valid values are in the range of 4 - 999.

Notes:
  1. To disable the automated locking of user IDs that are not active, leave this field empty.
  2. To specify individual user IDs that cannot be locked, use the Allow Lock field on the create user and the edit user dialog boxes. For more information about the users pages, see Users page.

Max Days Unused Until Locked A new user must first log on within this number of days before their ID is locked. A new ID that was not used for longer than the specified number of days is locked when this task runs.

Valid values are in the range of 0 - 999.

Note: To disable the automated locking of unused user IDs, leave this field empty.

Max Days Inactive Until Deleted The maximum number of days a user ID can be inactive before it is removed. An ID that is not active for longer than the specified number of days is deleted when this task runs.

Valid values are in the range of 7 - 999.

Notes:
  1. To disable the automated deletion of user IDs that are not active, leave this field empty.
  2. If this value is used, consider configuring one or more administrative user accounts that cannot be deleted. To specify individual user IDs that cannot be deleted, use the Allow Delete field on the create user and the edit user dialog boxes. For more information about the users pages, see Users page.
