End of day check
The Transaction Server end of day check is done to ensure that no pending work remains for a business day that is ending. There should be no batches (ICLs) that are either pending or in pending transmissions for the business day. If some batches (ICLs) or transmissions are still in the pending state at the end of the business day, the end of day check fails.
When the end of day check passes, it means that all the expected events for the business day are complete. Run the end of day check again to start the actual end of day processing.
Different business day log messages are logged when the end of day check passes or fails. The following
list describes the type of messages that are logged based on the result of running the end of day check.
- End of day check passed
- A summary message that indicates that the end of day check completed successfully is logged.
- End of day check failed
- The summary log message contains the following information.
- The number of expected events that were not completed by the end of the business day.
- The IDs of any batches (ICLs) and transmissions that are still pending at the end of the business day.
